Mickey:
I was 15 when I put together my first demo. Back then I didn't own all the equipment I needed to do this, so I rented a mixer and an effect processor and a DAT recorder. I worked almost constantly night and day for a week, and in the end I had finished recording all my tunes.
Roland XP-50

As I only had one DAT recorder I had to record all the tracks twice to make two copies of the demo, so both DAT copies were unique in that way.I send one copy to NRK Petre (one of the national radio stations in Norway), and the other copy to Beat Service in Tromsø hoping for a record deal. As predictable I didn't get a record deal, but one of my tunes were played on NRK Petre.
I released my next demo earlier then I had planned.

The next thing I did as Mickey was remixing a rock group from Oslo named Nothingface. The band was excited about this remix, which of course was a motivator to continue doing music. Plate Records, the label Nothingface was released under, was even ready to give me a record deal, but as school started to take more and more of my time at this point I didn’t go for this deal.
