Vinyl spinning:
I've been a keen collector of music since my early teens. I was into anything in electronic music all from good old 'Techno Trax' to 'Trancemaster' , and Kraftwerk was my idols for quite some time. At age 16 I played my first set at a party as DJ Mickey (Cosmic Rave). It was a nightmare as I didn't have much of a clue on how to mix properly, and the audience where looking at me scratching their heads as my "mix" proceeded.

As a result of this terrible experience I finally got down to learning the basics of beatmixing and soon I handled it pretty well. My next set at a major event in Namsos was what I would call a success, and the audience seemed very excited as well. After that DJ Mickey became no laughing matter anymore. When I visit Namsos today people still remember my better Dj'ing days in town.

My next step was getting my own set turntables and start Dj'ing with vinyl as all the real DJ's did. Eventually I found some clubs that had basically chucked their turntables away in favour of CD decks, so I got to buy them very cheap. I had to work quite a lot on them before they were up and running again, and then find a cheap mixer I could afford. But then I had my set and nothing could stop me. My taste in music has matured since then, and I usually go for progressive house, techno and tribal.
